The Nigerian Air Force says it has successfully air lifted over 600 kilograms of electoral materials to different locations across the country for the 2019 general elections.
The airlift was conducted using eight different air craft in support of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, said apart from the logistic support, personnel of the Air Force have been directed to ensure the security of lives and properties during and after the polls.
The Air Chief, who met with Field Commanders in Abuja, also directed the deployment of surveillance aircraft in flash points to forestall the breakdown of law and order.
Air Force and other military personnel have also been advised to desist from getting involved in partisan politics and all forms of misconduct.
