Many residents of Sagamu, Ogun State, have yet to come to terms with the news of the postponement of the Saturday elections.\

Many shops were still locked and the roads were deserted as of 9.30am.
Two residents, Semiu Rasak and Segun Ojo, expressed shock at the development and wondered why the Independent National Electoral Commission took the decision at the last minute.

“Why will they do that now? See the shops are locked. Nobody expected the change. I heard about it at the mosque this morning,” Rasak said.

The Director of the Atiku Presidential Campaign, South, Gbenga Daniel, lives in the Sagamu GRA.
Political activities were in top gear around the residence of the former Ogun governor on Friday, as he was expected to cast his vote at Isote Ward this morning.
One of his aides said he would soon release a statement on the development.
